Reports indicate that Xiaomi is developing the Redmi K90 series. According to leaked information from the GSMA database, the Redmi K90 series will include at least two devices: the Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro. Their international variants are the Xiaomi POCO F8 and POCO F8 Ultra. The Redmi K90 has a model number of 2510DRK44C, and it will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. The Redmi K90 Pro has a model number of 25102RKBEC and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC.
Today, the Redmi K90 with model number 2510DRK44C appeared on China’s 3C certification website. The certificate indicates the device supports 100W fast charging and comes with an MDY-18-EW charger. Compared to the 90W fast charging of the Redmi K80, the charging specifications have seen a slight upgrade.
According to previously leaked information, the Redmi K90 series will feature a 2K flat display with an extremely high pixel density, which can significantly enhance display sharpness. Additionally, the screen is expected to support ultrasonic in-display fingerprint recognition. The Redmi K90 Pro is likely to be among the first batch of smartphones powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC.
This SoC is the new generation flagship platform that Qualcomm plans to unveil at the 2025 Snapdragon Summit (September 24-25). It uses TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process N3P and features a second-generation self-developed Oryon CPU architecture. Its GeekBench 6 single-core score is expected to exceed 4000 points, while the multi-core score is likely to surpass 11000 points, with multi-core performance likely to exceed the A19 Pro. Digital chat station claims that the camera of the Redmi K90 Pro will receive an epic upgrade, with the introduction of a periscope telephoto lens for the first time in the Redmi K series.
As per tradition, the Redmi K90 series is expected to be launched in October this year.
